SUMMERFEST

SummerFest is a summer performing arts festival produced cooperatively by the departments of Dance, Music and Theater. Faculty and students from all three departments collaborated in our debut season to present the Broadway musical CABARET, as well as an original after-show cabaret, COMPOSER IN THE DARK: The Theater Songs of Kurt Weill. In our second season we produced ANYTHING GOES and THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST.

Though we hit some funding challenges in the succeeding years, we hope to re-launch the festival next summer and establish SummerFest as an annual Los Angeles Valley College event showcasing theater, music, dance, cinema and art.
